I know, what is at GFCI? It stands for Ground Fault Current Interuptor and is the little button inside your house and in your garage that many times will trip.

Know where a flashlight is stored in case of power outage and make sure the batteries are good.

Change all light bulbs to fluorescent light bulbs.

Make sure you unplug your Christmas lights both inside and outside the house when you are not home or going to bed.

It is sad but true that many of our December tragedies have been caused by faulty wiring going to a Christmas Tree or other decorative items in the house when we are not there to immediately attend to a problem that might occur.
