I would tell you children are the only ones that need protecting, but we all know that is not a true statement.  We need to protect our adults that do dumb things just as much as we protect our children.  However, the difference is children don’t know any better so we need to extend the extra effort to protect them.

Children stick things in the electrical outlets when they are playing or are curious about this new “thing” they have just found.  There are plug ins that you can buy to protect your children from sticking a foreign object into the socket.  Again, we would point out adults stick things into receptacles without tuning off the power when they know better.  If a plug breaks off and your are trying to get the broken piece out of the socket, TURN OFF THE POWER so you do not hurt yourself.
